The Problem
A deal-aggregation community lives or dies on trust and freshness. If listings go stale or unverified deals slip through, users stop trusting the feed — and a user-generated platform without engaged, trusting users has nothing left to offer.
The platform needed to support two distinct user behaviours at once: people posting and voting on deals they find, and people browsing to find deals relevant to them — with personalised alerts so the right deal reaches the right person without them having to search for it.
What We Built
A community platform built around real-time deal updates, so listings stay fresh as deals expire or new ones are posted. A user voting system lets the community itself surface the most trustworthy, highest-value deals — the platform does not have to arbitrate that manually.
Personalised alerts notify users when a deal matching their interests appears, turning a passive browsing experience into an active discovery tool without requiring users to keep checking back.
