Anthropic has revealed it has locked in roughly $71 billion in compute commitments and launched Theseus Infrastructure, a purpose-built US data centre platform developed with Macquarie Asset Management and GIC. Anthropic also appointed Tino Cuéllar, a former California Supreme Court justice and Carnegie Endowment president, as its first Chief Global Affairs Officer.

How the Theseus Deal Is Structured

Macquarie and GIC fund the equity for the data centres; Anthropic acts as the anchor tenant and pays 100% of the grid costs and any resulting consumer electricity price increases.
