Manus is in talks to raise about $500 million at a valuation of roughly $4 billion, marking its first major fundraising effort since separating from Meta.

Double the Buyback Price

The proposed valuation is about twice the roughly $2 billion at which Manus' founders and early investors bought back shares from Meta during the breakup. Manus and Meta completed their operational separation in May, and Manus has since resumed independent operations.

Who May Invest

Potential investors reportedly include IDG Capital, Boyu Capital and Chinese battery maker CATL. Existing backers Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund are also said to be considering joining the round. The round has not closed, and terms remain subject to change.

A Possible Hong Kong Listing

Manus is also weighing a restructuring to prepare for a Hong Kong IPO. The company was founded by Chinese entrepreneurs and moved most of its China-based staff to Singapore in 2025.

What It Signals for the Agent Market

A doubling of value within months of a messy corporate separation shows how much investor appetite remains for general-purpose AI agents. For businesses, it is another reminder that the agent vendor landscape is still being reshaped by ownership changes — worth factoring into any long-term platform commitment.
